1937年出生於日本神戶，畢業於香港伯特利學院、崇基學院，並獲美國西敏神學院道碩、神碩學位，以及英國曼徹斯特大學哲學博士學位。曾於香港、英國、美國加州等地牧會，主要服事領域為神學教育，擔任過香港中國神學研究院講師及教務主任（1978-82）、加州富勒神學院華人宣教系主任（1982-91）及中華福音神學院院長（1998-2004），2004年榮退後仍教學不輟。著作等身，計有《新約神學精要》、《未來之鑰：啟示錄注釋》（香港中國神學研究院）、《保羅神學的十堂課》、《認識解經原理》、《新約倫理談叢》（校園）、《哥林多後書》（天道）等書。
