Dr. Nash was Professor of Philosophy at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Luisville, Kentucky. He passed away from complications due to a stroke in early 2006. Previously he was Professor of Philosophy at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida. Prior to moving to the Florida seminary in 1991, Dr. Nash was for 27 years a professor of philosophy and department head at a large state university in the mid-South. Nash has also taught at Syracuse University, Fuller Theological Seminary (visiting professor), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (visiting professor), Houghton College, and Barrington College. Nash is a graduate of Barrington College (B.A.), Brown University (M.A.) and received his Ph.D. in philosophy from Syracuse University. He did post-graduate work at Stanford University under a research grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. He has published more than thirty books, including When a Baby Dies, Worldviews in Conflict, Is Jesus the Only Savior?, Faith and Reason, The Concept of God, and Christianity and the Hellenistic World. Dr. Nash has lectured at more than seventy colleges and universities in the U.S. as well as to congressional staff persons in the U.S. Capitol Building. He has also lectured in the former Soviet Union (Russia and Ukraine), China, The Czech Republic, and Great Britain. He recently returned from giving 25 lectures throughout New Zealand, including all of New Zealand’s major universities. Dr. Nash served two terms as an advisor to the U.S. Civil Rights Commission. He is a contributing editor to several nationally distributed publications, including Christian Research Journal and Religion and Liberty.
