林榮洪，廣東東莞人，一九四六年生於香港。先後畢業於香港大學、美國三一神學院、美國普林斯頓神學院（哲學博士），主修歷史神學。曾任香港中國神學研究院講師，現任多倫多天道神學院教授，並牧養教會。著作：《屬靈神學：倪柝聲思想的研究》、《基督教神學發展史（一）：初期教會》、《基督教神學發展史（二）：中世紀教會》、《 基督教神學發展史（三）改教運動前後 》、《王明道與中國教會》、《曲高和寡：趙紫宸的生平及神學》、《中華神學五十年 1900-1949》。
