杜古德的學術研究包括舊約神學的各樣主題及許多舊約書卷。博士論文是研究以西結書，屬於

Supplements to Vetus TestamentumSeries。著力於聖經的敬拜神學，以及從舊約的不同體裁

傳講基督；著作涵蓋學術及教牧兩面。參與Holman Christian Standard Version聖經的翻譯。

與妻子Barbara育有5名子女
